PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film securing a good communicating structure and excellent in air permeability; and a separator for a lithium ion lithium battery having a shut-down property. SOLUTION: The porous film includes at least one mixed resin layer comprising a polypropylene-based resin, a polyethylene-based resin and a thermoplastic resin having a crystal melting peak temperature or a glass transition temperature of not higher than the crystal melting peak temperature of the polyethylene-based resin, and hasβactivity.
