PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support system performing a driving support which makes compatible the accuracy and the consistency with an actual road situation. SOLUTION: A driving support processing part 18 performs driving support processing, based on navigation information, when road linear information based on infrastructure information and map data based on the navigation information are determined as matching each other by a matching part 14, while it performs the driving support processing, based on the infrastructure information, when the information and the data are determined as not matching each other. When they match each other, the map data are determined to be new enough and the driving support of high measuring accuracy is performed, using an abundant amount of information that a navigation system has. When they do not match each other, the map data based on the navigation information are determined to be not new enough and not to reflect a change in a road shape or a road environment, and the driving support is performed, using real-time information matched with the actual road situation.
