PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular control device capable of restricting the slippage of a wheel while preventing the over-heating of a torque distribution device, a method for controlling the vehicular control device, a driving power distribution control device and a method for controlling the driving power distribution control device. SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 has a brake device for use in applying a braking force to each of wheels 12R, 12L, 13R and 13L, and an ESCECU 33 for controlling the operation of the brake device to execute an ESC control for improving the running stability of the vehicle 1. 4WDECU 31 estimates the temperature of a torque distributing device 6. Then, 4WDECU 31 outputs a threshold control signal S1, to the ESCECU 33, for use in modifying a slip threshold value from the first threshold value to the second threshold value lower than the first threshold value in the case that the estimated temperature is higher than the threshold temperature.
