PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submarine acoustic transmitter which is compact and lightweight, improves acoustic radiation efficiency in low-frequency bands lower than or equal to several kHz, has wide band characteristics in which -6 dB specific bandwidth is 40% or more, and improves a horizontal distance search capability. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a transmitter 1 in the configuration of which, resonant frequencies of two kinds of bent transmitters 10, 20 are made different from f1 and f2, a configuration obtained by laminating the respective transmitters in a direction of a perpendicularly central axis is used as one block and the same block as the one block is laminated symmetrically with respect to a perpendicular mirror surface in such a way that a side on which the second bent transmitter 20 of the higher resonant frequency is disposed becomes a symmetry axis side. At the same time, in respective drive modes, the bent transmitters of neighboring frequencies are driven in such a way that their phases become inverse to each other. Thus, by functioning the transmitter as a differential connection type multi-mode filter, band widening is achieved and further, horizontal sound pressure distribution (directivity) can be extended.
