摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefin polymerization catalyst with which an olefin polymer having a high melt flow rate and a large molecular weight distribution is obtained even by single-stage polymerization, and to provide a method for producing an olefin polymer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Olefin polymerization is carried out using the olefin polymerization catalyst comprising a solid titanium catalyst component, an organometallic compound catalyst component, and an organosilicon compound having a specific structure. An olefin polymer having a high melt flow rate with a small amount of hydrogen and having a high value of Mw/Mn being an index of molecular weight distribution is obtained.
