<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus using ultraviolet rays capable of effectively utilizing ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of about 254 nm for the purpose of disinfection or deactivation even if there is no protective pipe or washing mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water treatment apparatus using ultraviolet rays is equipped with an ultraviolet lamp 10, the wall surface 12 provided outside the ultraviolet lamp 10, a plurality of the supply ports 14 installed above the upper end of the ultraviolet lamp 10 to allow gravity-falling treating water to flow, an ultraviolet support member 22 for fixing and supporting the ultraviolet lamp 10 on the wall surface 12 and a water collecting part 26 for collecting the treating water gravity falling from the supply parts 14. The supply ports 14 are provided at places such that the treating water gravity falling does not come into contact with both of the ultraviolet lamp 10 and the wall surface 12.
