LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a driving method of the same are provided to improve a display quality by reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(300) displays an image corresponding to original image data. A lighting-emitting area supplies a light to the display panel. A timing controller(600) receives original image data. The timing controller outputs a transfer image signal. A timing controller respectively changes a first video signal, a second video signal, and a third video signal. The lighting emitting area determines the luminance of light supplied to the display panel according to a reference gray scale of a reference image signal.
