PURPOSE: A charcoal containing yellow soil composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to effectively remove volatile organic compounds while maintaining the texture of natural charcoal, and to secure indoor humidity controlling ability. CONSTITUTION: A charcoal containing yellow soil composition comprises a frame(2) formed with yellow soil components, and more than one charcoal formed with a radial crack(9) while being located in the center of the frame. The charcoal is porous oak charcoal with the specific gravity of 1.4~1.9, and volume weight of 0.65~0.70. The frame contains 45~80vol% of pulverized yellow soil, 10~20vol% of calcined gypsum, 40~60wt% of SiO_2, 20~25wt% of Al2O_3, and 10~35vol% of admixture selected from the group consisting of Fe_2O_3, CaO, SO_3, MgO, Na_2O and K_2O.
