FIELD: power industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: smoothly adjustable arc-suppression coil includes excitation winding and magnetic system consisting of fixed and movable magnetic conductors. Fixed magnetic conductor has a nonmagnetic gap in which movable magnetic conductor made in the form of ferromagnetic ring of variable cross section can be moved. By being rotated about its own axis, the ring fills the volume of non-magnetic gap, and as a result, it changes the coil inductance. Forces acting on movable magnetic conductor are opposite directed and their resultant force is equal to zero. ^ EFFECT: decreasing noise and vibration, increasing intensity of magnetic field and reducing material consumption of the coil. ^ 1 dwg |
