<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a necessary amount of light cannot be secured when the light source of a luminaire is replaced with LEDs, because size limitation prevents increasing the number of LEDs to compensate for the insufficient light amount. <P>SOLUTION: An LED 1 for a module is composed of an LED chip 2, a base portion 3, and a lens portion 4. The focal point of the lens portion for forming a virtual light source image of the LED chip is located behind the base portion, at a position of a predetermined distance. A plurality of LEDs for the module are incorporated in the luminaire with the virtual light source images superposed one on another to form a light source module 10 that functions as a single light source. This allows highly dense arrangement of the increased number of LEDs, and thus the number of LEDs can be increased to the required number, to thereby solve the problem. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
