<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a compound-eye photographing apparatus equipped with a plurality of photographing portions to determine a photographing condition by using a common object. <P>SOLUTION: The photographing portions 21A and 21B perform pre-photographing and acquire pre-images of first and second images G1 and G2. A face detecting portion 31 detects a face area from the first image G1. When the plurality of face areas are detected, a reference face area BFO to be reference among the plurality of face areas is determined. A feature point detecting portion 32 detects a feature point from the reference face area BFO. An object determining portion 33 searches a correspondence point of the feature point in the face area detected from the second image G2, and determines the face area from which the correspondence point is searched as a correspondence face area CFO corresponding to the reference face area BFO.
