Ž<P>SOLUTION: Feedback control is performed on an actual rotating speed of the fuel pump 14, by determining a target rotating speed corrected in response to a pressure loss in a fuel filter 16, by arithmetically operating the target rotating speed of the fuel pump 14 based on this target delivery quantity, by determining the target delivery quantity by correcting a request fuel quantity of an engine by a filter pressure loss correction quantity corresponding to a delivery quantity integral value, by using the delivery quantity integral value of the fuel pump 14 from new car time as a parameter for evaluating the pressure loss in the fuel filter. The target rotating speed corrected in response to a deterioration degree of the fuel pump 14 is also determined by arithmetically operating the target rotating speed of the fuel pump 14 based on this target delivery quantity, by determining the target delivery quantity by correcting the request fuel quantity of the engine by a pump deterioration correction quantity corresponding to a rotating speed integral value, by using the rotating speed integral value of the fuel pump 14 from the new car time as a parameter for evaluating a deterioration degree of the fuel pump 14.
