<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chest pocket hardly making a stored object drop off, and facilitating taking out the object. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The chest pocket is so designed that a reinforcing cloth 27 is sewn on a pocket front cloth 22, the pocket front cloth 22 is sewn on a pocket connection cloth 23, and a connection cloth 14 is sewn on a garment 10 and has folded pleats 32 and 32 called accordion pleats freely foldable like bellows. When expanding the folded pleats 32 and 32, the width of a bottom 33 is larger than that of an opening 26 of the chest pocket 20, and the width of the bottom 33 is fixed so as to bring an angle θ widening toward the end and made by the garment 10 and the pocket front cloth 22 to a range of 20-30° when the bottom 33 expands. As a result, even when a person bends down to incline a garment downward from the horizon, the bottom has a wider width than the opening of the pocket to suppress inclination of the pocket front cloth and a stored object, so it is possible to suppress the stored object from dropping off from the chest pocket.
