<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-source exposing type signboard in which a light-source device irradiates a board surface with light directed to the board surface, the light from the light-source device is irregularly reflected at the board surface and, thereby, the irregularity of brightness of a letter or an image to be light-emitted is reduced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the light-source device 11, a part of light emitted from an LED 45 is reflected at the boundary face 43 of an optical lens 41, thereby, gets to reflection light 52 and the surface of the board surface 1 is irradiated with the part of light. When the reflection light 52 from the light-source device 11 reaches the surface of the board surface 1, the reflection light diffuses with a diffusion surface formed on the surface of the board surface 1 and is reflected. Accordingly, the surface of the board surface 1 is irradiated with diffusion light 53 which is more spread than the reflection light 54 toward an emission direction of direct rays 51.
