<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly correct a conveyance error also for a recording material with a characteristic of having the conveyance error gradually increased in the process of conveyance by a conveyance device in a recording apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A recording control part 100 holds an accumulated conveyance amount β by accumulatively adding, updating and storing a conveyance amount from the conveyance start of recording paper P or rolled paper RP on the basis of a rotation control amount of a conveyance drive roller 51 or an output signal of a rotary encoder 31 when the recording paper P or the rolled paper RP is conveyed. The recording control part calculates a correction value α from the accumulated conveyance amount β by an equation (2), and carries out the control of conveying the recording paper P or the rolled paper RP by a conveyance amount which has the correction value α added to the conveyance amount conveyed.
