<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing with a seal which can sufficiently reduce sealing torque at an early stage after starting the use while surely preventing the entry of foreign matters into the bearing and which is applied as a transmission bearing for an automobile or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing with the seal includes an outer ring 3, an inner ring 2, rolling elements 4, and a seal member 6. The seal member 6 is fixed at its base end to the outer ring 3, and the other end, which is in slide contact with the inner ring 2, forms a seal lip portion 8aa. A wear accelerating treatment portion such as a tiny protrusion 11 is provided on a seal face 10a of the inner ring 2 with which the seal lip portion 8aa is in slide contact. The wear accelerating treatment portion gives wear to the front end of the seal lip portion 8aa so that the seal member 6 has no contact or slight contact at seemingly zero contact pressure during sealing when rotating the bearing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
