PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assessing model useful for assessing cancer cells behaviors (proliferativity, infiltrativeness), to provide a method for constructing the same, and to provide applications thereof (assessment systems). SOLUTION: The method for constructing the model for assessing cancer cells behaviors includes the following steps (1) to (5): the step (1) of magnetically labeling a cell population including to-be-tested cancer cells; the step (2) of preparing a culturing vessel having a culture surface coated with a first matrix material containing extracellular matrix components; the step (3) of inoculating the culturing vessel with the cell population with the magnetic label followed by subjecting the population to magnetic force to arrange the cell population in an array-like pattern where one or more cells are present in one spot; the step (4) of adding to the culturing vessel a second liquid matrix material containing the extracellular matrix components and a medium while maintaining the state of keeping the magnetic force in action to embed the cell population arranged in the step (3) in the second matrix material; and the step (5) of gelatinizing the second matrix material.
