<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera for underwater photography including a waterproofing function, which copes with a change of water pressure and also performs heat radiation in a hermetically sealed camera in spite of simple constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An edge surface of an outer periphery 31 of a front cover 11 is a press-contact surface 32. A female screw 33 is formed on a fitting surface on the inside of the press-contact surface, and is screwed with a male screw 35 formed on the fitting surface provided at the edge of the outer periphery 34 of a back cover 12. A ring-like waterproof member 36 is arranged in a groove formed on the outside of the male screw 35, and is crushed between the groove and the press-contact surface 32 to secure the contact pressure by repulsive force obtained by such crush. The ring-like waterproof member 36 includes a flexible cylindrical outer cover 41, a heating wire 42 held inside the outer cover 41, and a thermal expansion material 43 enclosed inside the outer cover 41 so as to envelop the heating wire 42, having a larger thermal expansion coefficient than the outer cover 41 and expanded by heat generated by the heating wire 42.
