METHOD FOR DETECTING BIODIESEL FUEL AND DETECTOR TUBE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and promptly perform testing of biodiesel fuel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A detector tube 10 includes a measurement tube 11 and a detecting agent 25 disposed inside the measurement tube 11. The detecting agent 25 is made of carrier particles on which phloroglucinol and an acid are adsorbed, wherein the detecting agent 25 changes the color from white to pink to red when a sample containing FAME (fatty acid methyl ester) comes in contact with the detecting agent 25. Because biodiesel fuel is made by adding FAME to light oil, presence or absence of biodiesel fuel in a sample can be determined based on whether or not the detecting agent 25 develops color.
