PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system for users to easily take the following countermeasure, in case that an electronic device capable of supplying power cannot supply a required power when a charging operation is performed in between the electronic devices. SOLUTION: The charging system comprises a cellular phone 1101 with a secondary battery equipped therewith, and a digital camera 2101 for supplying power to the portable handy phone 1101. The portable handy phone 1101 determines a charging quantity to the secondary battery, and transmits a power-supply request of the determined charging quantity to the digital camera 2101. On the other hand, the digital camera 2101 receives the power-supply request of the charging quantity transmitted from the cellular phone 1101, and issues a notification to the effect when the power of the required charging quantity cannot be supplied.
