<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily compute a new condition which can satisfy a fixed quality even if a recording type optical disk of a measuring object does not satisfy the reproduction durability of the fixed quality. <P>SOLUTION: An information recording and reproducing apparatus stores determination information which associates the optimal recording power and the optimal reproducing power for having the reproduction durability of a prescribed frequency over a plurality of linear speeds, and the apparatus compares the optimal recording power of a first detected linear speed with the optimal recording power of a first linear speed obtained from the stored determination information. When the optimal recording power is determined not having the reproduction durability of the prescribed frequency, the apparatus computes the optimal reproducing power having the reproduction durability of the prescribed frequency in the first line speed by the predetermined method, creates a new determination information based on a linear relationship of the computed optimal reproducing power and the stored determination information, and obtains the optimal reproducing power corresponding to the optimal recording power of the second detected linear speed by referring to the created determination information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
