<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an existing method of intermaxillary fixation inhibits a patient from opening and closing a mouth during intermaxillary fixation from two to six weeks, and causes a restriction feeling to continue for a long time, and makes it hard to breath, difficult to clean, and hard to correspond to cope with an emergency such as vomit. <P>SOLUTION: An instrument for intermaxillary fixation includes a pair of upper and lower splints formed along the upper and lower tooth alignments of each patient by modeling based on DICOM data of the patient, a fixation means for fixing the splints and teeth, a plurality of protrusions mounted on the splints, and a silicon coat attached to the tooth alignments, having inset holes arranged to correspond with the protrusion positions of the upper and lower splints in the inset state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
