<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus suppressive in a network load, and to provide a control method of the communication apparatus, a program and a recording medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A packet loss rate is measured by transmitting a ping command prior to transmitting a packet and the number of error correction packets corresponding to the packet loss rate is set, thereby preventing an excessive load from being applied to a network. Thus, a communication apparatus that is suppressive in the network load, the control method of the communication apparatus, the program, and the recording medium can be provided.
