PURPOSE: An image display apparatus and a method of processing an image using vanishing point are provided, which detect a vanishing point through an image analysis, set a sharpness of edge and contrast based on a vanishing point optimally, and offer depth perception and realistic feeling of image. CONSTITUTION: An image display apparatus calculates spatial coordinates and direction vector from image data by frame of buffer(S601). The apparatus extracts a vanishing point of each direction(S602). Based on the vanishing point, the apparatus renders a detected lines(S603). The apparatus revises contrast of image(S604). The apparatus emphasizes sharpness through a filtering of detected line(S605). The apparatus displays the compensated image(S606). |
