Braking system having a pneumatic brake booster with a fast action

The system has a rapid actuating pneumatic brake booster for controlling displacement of an auxiliary piston at a speed higher than speed of a rod controlling the piston. A floating washer (21) is located between a master brake cylinder and a brake fluid reservoir (20) so as to limit a passage of brake fluid (22) towards the reservoir during braking. Lateral joints (23) cooperate with the washer for limiting the passage of the brake fluid. An independent claim is also included for a braking method.
