PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation in deviation of a bumper part by adding a reinforcing means to the bumper in a sealing device having an bumper part made of an elastic element transmitting a force received by the deviation of the other member to a bellows part in a seal part. SOLUTION: A sealing device 1 utilized for a shaft seal part for various devices seals an annular clearance between a housing 15 and a shaft 11 and is provided with a seal part 2 having a seal lip 2a seal contacted with the shaft 11, a fixed part 4 fitted and fixed to the internal circumference of the housing 15, and a corrugated bellows part 3 interposed between the both 2, 4. The seal part 2 has a rectangular cross sectional bumper part 2B provided continuously to the atmospheric side of the seal lip 2A, an annular groove is formed in the outer circumferential face of the bumper part 2B, and a ring 9 as a reinforcing means is fitted therein so as to suppress the deformation of the bumper part 2B. A garter spring 8 is fitted in the seal lip 2A. |
