GAMMA REFERENCE VOLTAGE ADAPTIVE DRIVER

PURPOSE: A gamma reference voltage adaptive driver is provided to reduce power consumption of a drive integrated circuit by allowing power supplied to the drive integrated circuit to change in proportion to a gamma reference voltage. CONSTITUTION: A drive integrated circuit(10) includes a shift transistor part(11), a line latch part(13), and a level shifter part(15). The high-level gamma amplification buffer(27) amplifies a maximum gamma reference voltage. The low level gamma amplification buffer(29) amplifies a minimum gamma reference voltage. An R-string part(25) generates a gamma reference voltages at each level. A digital/analog converter(17) changes digital video data into analog video data with reference to the gamma reference voltage at each level. A power supply control unit varies output voltage in proportion to a maximum gamma reference voltage.
