PURPOSE: A content playing system including a smart card and the smart card are provided to apply a DRM technique between a streaming service server and a terminal, thereby obtaining better content protecting effects. CONSTITUTION: A smart card(120) transmits a content providing request to a content providing server(140) through a content playing terminal(110). The smart card releases DRM(Digital Right Management) about an N-numbered packet of the contents. The smart card transmits a DRM-released N-numbered original packet to the content playing terminal. The content playing terminal receives the N-numbered original packet from the smart card.
