The method involves verifying compatibility of a function (4a) to be executed with an application environment such as mobile telephone (2). An incompatibility routine (4b) of a data carrier (1) is called, when an incompatibility of the function with the mobile telephone is found, during verification of the compatibility, where verification of the function compatibility and calling of the incompatibility routine are implemented by a central compatibility device (15) of the data carrier. The incompatibility routine is selected based on the determined information about the mobile telephone. |
