[Also in Division D1] Fibrous fabric P is dried, after being drycleaned in chamber 1, by being passed into chamber 2 wherein it is fed in zig-zag form over rollers 17, 18 and taken out through outlet 19. In the chamber the fabric is treated with hot air which evaporates the solvent, the saturated air being exhausted via the intake pipe 20 of a circulating pump 21. The solvent is recovered in a condenser 22 and the air passes over heaters 23 back into the chamber 2. If desired, the chamber 2 may be divided into two parts, the second being filled with ambient air to allow the fabric to dry at room temperature and pressure.</p> |
