INTERNET PROTOCOL TV SERVICE SYSTEM, AND CONTENTS GUIDE METHOD FOR IPTV SETTOP BOX

PURPOSE: An IPTV service system and guiding method of IPTV set top box are provided to receive easily real-time popular channel information and VOD contents information with manipulation of certain button of a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: If contents recommendation hotkey is received from remote controller, IPTV set top box outputs guide mark for guide of popular channel or VOD information(S21,S22). If the phosphorus group channel guide key is received from the remote controller, the IPTV set top box outputs the popular broadcasting program guide information of the audience rating survey server in the TV screen(S23,S24). If a popular VOD guiding key is received from a remote controller, the IPTV set top box outputs a popular VOD contents guiding information of the VOD contents statistics server on the TV screen(S25,S26).
