The system has an internal combustion engine (38) e.g. diesel engine, operated for driving elements e.g. crawler chains, which are provided in contact with earth, in selectable transmission stages by a gear mechanism (66). An electronic controller (40) is connected with actuators (112, 118) arranged for selection of transmission stages of the gear mechanism. The controller automatically selects the stages of the gear mechanism. The controller selects the stages depending on transport- and road operating modes of a working machine. The engine is connected with a hydraulic pump (48). |
