PURPOSE: A carbon dioxide generation amount measuring apparatus and a measuring method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption and to reduce generation of carbon dioxide by measuring generation amount of carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION: An electricity usage amount measuring unit(2) measures the amount of used electric power. A carbon dioxide generation amount measuring unit(3) multiplies consumed power amount provided by a power consumption measuring unit and the carbon dioxide discharge coefficient according to a predetermined consumed power amount.
