The microwave position measuring device (12) has a microwave-antenna arrangement for determining position of a measuring object (14) moving in a movement chamber (50) along a movement axis (20) on the basis of microwaves. The movement chamber forms a hollow conductor in sections for conducting the microwaves. The microwave antenna arrangement is formed to couple or decouple the hollow conductor waves in or out of the hollow conductor, where the hollow conductor has a terminal capacitance surface (58).
