<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to change and discharge the amount of wind of the conditioned air depending on the radiant temperature of a user. CONSTITUTION: An air-conditioner comprises a sensor module(40), a fan driver, a controller and a display. The sensor module measures the radiant temperature of a human body. The sensor module includes one or more thermopiles measuring the radiant temperature. The fan driver drives an inner fan and discharges the conditioned air with the predetermined amount of wind. If the operation state of a compressor satisfies the predetermined condition, the controller controls the fan driver to change the predetermined amount of wind based on the radiant temperature and the predetermined temperature. The display indicates the rotation speed and the amount of wind of the inner fan.</p> |
