<p>The present invention relates to a grip element ( 2 ) for a surgical instrument, in particular for a tubular-shaft instrument, that comprises a handle ( 4 ) and an instrument holder ( 8 ) adapted to the surgical instrument. The instrument holder can be made integral with the surgical instrument or comprise a receptacle ( 18 ) for holding the surgical instrument. The grip element ( 2 ) is intended to enable the surgeon's hand and arm to be comfortable in a variety of operating positions.
