<p>Liquid mixture of (I) a silane of formula R"a Y2N - R - Si(OR')3-a wherein R is a divalent hydrocarbon radical of at least 3C having no aliphatic double bonds, Y is H, an opt amino substd. hydrocarbyl gp. having no aliph double bonds. R' is 1-4C alkyl, CH2CH2OH, CH2CH2OCH3 or -CH2CH2OCH2CH3 and R'' is a hydrocarbyl radical contg. no aliph unsaturation, opt. carrying F substituents on the >=3 carbon, and (2) Na-monomethylsilicate or a monobasic acid or a silane of formula R''' Si(OR')3 wherein R'''' is C1-18 alkyl or phenyl.; e.g. a mixture of 1 mole of C6H5 H2NC6H4Si(OCH3)2 and 2 moles CH3COOH; or a mixture of 1 mole (H2N)(CH3)C6H2NH(CH2)3 Si(OCH3)2 C6H11 and 1 mole C8H17Si (OCH3)3.
