PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing illegal download of contents are provided to load contents authority confirmation program in a user terminal, thereby discontinuing streaming if a user terminal illegally stores the data during streaming of data stored in the user terminal. CONSTITUTION: If a contents streaming is request form a user terminal(100), a contents providing server(200) transmits contents right information to the user terminal. The contents providing server streams the requested contents after checking operation of contents right checking program of the user terminal. If a contents saving command is inputted during playing contents which is being streamed, the user terminal checks contents usage authority information to block the play of the relevant contents if the user is a user who is permitted to stream. |
