An electrical connector has an expanding socket formed from a metal stamping to provide a resilient finger 18 with an incurved portion extending into the socket and a free end 22 supported by a tongue 28 which allows longitudinal movement of the end 22 when a pin 54 is inserted in the socket. The socket is held in an aperture in an insulating block by the tongue 28 and an extension 16 engaging shoulders 40, 44 respectively in the aperture. The pin is formed similarly from a metal stamping and is held in an identical aperture by a tongue 66. |
