An extruded or coextruded tubular plastic parison is cut open into two planar surface portions. The planar surface portions are separated by an intermediate frame along peripheral edges, and molded in two mold halves to provide half shells. The mold halves are opened to remove the frame, after which the mold halves are closed, so that half shells contacting each other are bonded, to form a hollow article. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) hollow plastic article; and (2) hollow plastic article usage method. |
