METHOD OF PERFORMING BANDWIDTH REQUEST PROCEDURE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method of performing a bandwidth request procedure in a wireless communication system is provided to perform bandwidth request using a non contention based bandwidth request or polling information, thereby preventing delay due to bandwidth request failure during a contention based bandwidth request procedure. CONSTITUTION: If power of a terminal is turned on in a cell area of a base station or handover is performed in an adjacent cell, the terminal receives flow ID for specific service connection with MS_ID for terminal identification from the base station(S110). The terminal performs a contention based bandwidth request process(S120). The terminal transmits uplink data through a contention based bandwidth request process, a non contention based bandwidth request process or polling information(S130).
