PURPOSE: An alarm device and a method thereof are provided to output alarm sound by determining the proximity degree of an object according to the sensing result of an object approaching a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A sensor unit(110) senses at least one among temperature and an operation state of an adjacent object. A signal processing unit(120) outputs a signal for warning by determining the proximity degree according to the sensing result transferred from the sensor unit. The signal processing unit comprises an AD converting unit(121), a signal generating unit(122), and a DA converter(123). The AD converting unit outputs a first digital signal by converting the sensing result. The signal generating unit outputs the second digital signal. The DA converter outputs a signal for the analog warning by converting the second digital signal to an analog signal. A speaker(130) outputs an alarm sound according to a signal for warning.
