PURPOSE: A self-assembly long counter is provided to facilitate carrying and installing components which are able to be assembled and disassembled. CONSTITUTION: A self-assembly long counter comprises: a core module(1) which comprises a detector(13) which measures the number of neutrons as a thermal detector; an outer shield unit(2) which is to shield external scattering neutrons which incidents to the core module; and case module(3) which supports the outer shield unit. The core module comprises: an inner case(11) which has a cylinder shape with a double layer which comprises an inner shell(11b) wherein the detector is inserted and an outer shall(11a) which is separated from the inner shield with a fixed distance; and an inner shield(12) which is inserted into a space between the inner shell and the outer shall.
