The method involves manufacturing an aluminum foil (1) from a hot-rolled strip or a casting strip of aluminum or aluminum alloy by cold-rolling with or without intermediate annealing, and optional annealing of the aluminum foil before reeling the aluminum foil on a coil (2). Single or double sided coating of the aluminum foil is carried out by a functional coating before the optional annealing of the aluminum foil, where the functional coating forms a grafting layer, preferably from phosphonic acid. An independent claim is also included for an aluminum foil of aluminum or aluminum alloy manufactured by a functional coating. |
