A method of culturing plant which is more practical and by which growth promotion effect can be sufficiently obtained, and a plant-culturing device usable for the method are provided. The plant culturing device (1) comprises electrodes (3, 3) which are so disposed in a container (2) as to face each other at a required interval, a pulse generator (5), and a power supply device (6). An electric field with a field intensity of 0.0417 V/cm to 0.1667 V/cm and an electric current with a current density of 0.0110 mA/cm2 to 0.180 mA/cm2 are generated in a substrate (S) between both of the electrodes (3, 3) at the rate of substantially 50-60 times/second by the pulse generator (5) and the power supply device (6).
