The present invention relates to a circuit and a method for driving an LCD device. More particularly, the present invention relates to a circuit and a method for driving an LCD device wherein data is exchanged by application of a polarity control signal to a data register block on a control unit before the data is stored in a latch on a driving unit, and then stored in the latch, and thus multiplexers that are respectively requested from plural channels are placed at one control unit, thereby reducing the chip size.
