SPATIAL MULTIPLEXING DETECTION APPARATUS FOR MIMO MULTIPATH CHANNELS

PURPOSE: A spatial multiplexing detection apparatus for MIMO multipath channels is provided to combine multiple path components after performing RAKE MRC(Maximal Ration Combining) for an input signal incident to the multiple input antennas by each path. CONSTITUTION: In a MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) multiple path channel, a spatial multiplexing signal detection device includes MRC(Maximal Ration Combining) units(21a,21b,21c), a multiple path signal combination unit(22) and a MIMO director(23). The MRC units perform rake MRC for the signals received through plural antennas(1-NR). The multiple path signal combination unit maximizes an output SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) by combining the signal of each path for which the MRC is prepared. The MIMO detector outputs signals by performing spatial multiple detection for the combined multiple path signal.
