PROCESS FOR PRODUCING MOLDED ARTICLE AND FILM ELEMENT FOR HEAT EXCHANGE

A molded article comprising a resinous frame and a film attached thereto is produced by a process which comprises 1) reinforcing a film with a solvent-soluble or solvent-disintegrable reinforcement layer, 2) inserting the reinforced film into an injection mold, 3) feeding a resin to the mold to injection-mold the resin into a frame and simultaneously bond the frame to the reinforced film, and 4) treating the resultant injection-molded object with a solvent to remove the reinforcement layer.  This process provides a technique capable of yielding a film attached alone to a frame (through integral molding) regardless of the size of the film.  The film preferably is a stretched porous polytetrafluoroethylene film, and it is preferred that a moisture-permeable resin has been combined with the stretched porous polytetrafluoroethylene film.
