The object of the invention is a safety- gear- and guide arrangement of an elevator, which elevator comprises an elevator car (1) fitted inside a car sling (2) consisting of at least a top element (3), a bottom element (4) and also side elements, i.e. vertical elements (5), which elevator is fitted to travel essentially vertically in the elevator hoistway guided by guide rails (6), as well as at least bottom guide shoes (8) and at least one safety gear housing (9) provided with a safety gear (9a), in which arrangement the bottom guide shoes (8) and the safety gear housing (9) are fitted into the bottom parts of the vertical elements (5). The bottom guide shoe (8) and safety gear housing (9) on the same side of the elevator are fixed to the same detachably fixed frame structure (16) as each other.
