PURPOSE: A user interface method and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to access to various functions by a minimum input. CONSTITUTION: A display module(151) displays a user interface on stand-by screen. The user interface comprises a plurality of identification object icons. A controller(180) operates a size of the identification object icons proportionally by a number of the identification object icons on a stand-by screen. A user input unit(130) and senescing unit(140) are inputted a user input.
